Honda FR-V 2.2 CDT-i is a beautifull beast - I have owned many cars over the last 30 years and this is my favourite. A medium sized MPV with six seats, the Honda FR-V is a car which has won plenty of praise and accolades, but little in the way of commercial success. Why commercial success has evaded the FR-V is not entirely clear, as the six seats makes for a roomy, comfortable cabin, a 2.2 litre diesel engines provides good power and decent economy, and its Problem is, there doesn't seem to be many options out there for the N22 Civic. Exedy website suggests they supply a clutch for the Accord with the 2.2 CDTi engine (product code: HCD304) but doesn't indicate whether it would fit the civic or not (I imagine it should as its the same engine). Mar 13, 2015. #1. Have a 2010 2.2 CDTI Civic EX with just shy of 90,000 on the clock and over the last day or so, I have noticed the clutch starting to slip. 4th gear, around 2000 rpm, the revs rise to 3000 rpm and drop again. However, driving home from work today - it didn't happen in 4th. Did happen once in 5th and once in 6th though.
